Have you visited www.newbiewriters.com recently? If not, then you could be missing out.
Having been a member of Newbie Writers since 2007 (before I’d ever had my first piece published), I’ve found it to be a great resource for both aspiring and established writers – offering blog posts and a discussion forum containing a plethora of useful information on writing and the wider industry. It also hosts the popular ‘Tweep Nation’ with Amber and Dionne.
But this isn’t all. Newbie Writers is home to the famous Newbie Writers Podcast, a free weekly broadcast presented by site owner, Damien, and author and writing coach co-host, Catharine Bramkamp. These podcasts cover a wide range of different aspects about writing and the publishing industry including style, plot, character, humour, and have regular guests from the author, publishing and reader community. In the latest episode they discuss writing conferences and ask those all important questions that we want answered, e.g. If you were not an author what would you be? Does your own writing ever make you laugh or cry? What are the last five books you have read?
You can listen to the podcast direct from the site at www.newbiewriters.com or go to iTunes and download The Newbie Writers Podcast. And, if you like what you hear, don’t forget to give them a review afterwards.
