I’m delighted to announce that I will be releasing my next novel, After He’s Gone, in June!
This book marks a new venture for me and is written through the eyes of Family Liaison Officer, DC Beth Chamberlain. It’s been an interesting one to research and write as it offers a different perspective on murder investigations, focussing on the victim’s family and, of course, there are some lovely dark secrets in there too. I will be sharing the cover art soon. In the meantime, here’s the taster blurb:
After He’s Gone
You think you know him. Until he’s dead.
‘The safety catch on the Glock snapped as it released. Her stomach curdled as she watched the face before her stretch and curve. Listened to the words drip from his mouth, “Right. Let’s begin, shall we?”
When Cameron Swift is shot in cold blood outside his family home on the salubrious Collingtree Park estate in Northamptonshire, DC Beth Chamberlain is appointed Family Liaison Officer: a dual role that requires her to support the family and also investigate them.
As the case unfolds and the body count climbs, Beth discovers that nothing is quite as it appears and everyone, it seems, has secrets.
Even the dead…
The novel will be released on 18th June 2018 and, after much soul searching, this time I will be trying my hand at self-publishing which is a very exciting prospect, if a little daunting!
I still enjoy working with the lovely team at Legend Press, who have published my last four novels, and I will possibly continue this relationship on other titles going forwards. This new series, however, will be released by myself. Wish me luck! I’m currently hiring a cover artist which is very exciting!
So, if you are a blogger or reviewer and would like an advance review copy do get in touch.
I’m also running a competition for my book club presently, where some lucky readers will receive an early copy, and one will receive a signed paperback after publication. If you would like to get involved, you can sign up to my book club here.
Finally, I’d like to congratulate Karen Taylor! Karen was the winner of my ‘who wants to be a character in my new novel competition’ in January. Look out for her in After He’s Gone.
Thank you, and happy reading!
